March is long past, but I wanted to point out another Kickstarter campaign that deserves people’s attention.

Northern Spark is an all-night arts festival in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. I had the pleasure of going to the 2011 festival, and it was a blast. There’s everything there: independent films, readings, art installations, plays. Not to mention it’s a great way to show off one’s Minnesota pride.

Beautiful flowers are popping up all over here in the Twin Cities.  I’ve been enjoying all of it, but there’s one species that’s got me puzzled.  It looks like a member of the nightshade family, and it seems to like growing in weedy places on parking strips and drainage gardens.  It’s all over the place.
